The other day I overheard a partial conversation between two men. The older man (probably 60\u2019s) was saying middle-aged women are mean. I didn\u2019t hear anything else.
\nLater in the day, the younger man (late 50\u2019s) told me about the conversation. I said \u201cWe\u2019re not mean! We\u2019re just not taking your crap anymore\u201d. Yeah, that\u2019s what he said too, was his reply.
\nWhy does that make us mean? Do men think we\u2019re still mad at our ex\u2019s and are taking it out on them? Not every single, middle-aged woman is divorced and some of us wanted that divorce. Some women are widowed and some have never been married. We\u2019re not mean, it\u2019s more that we\u2019re not catering to them. We\u2019ve realized we\u2019re human in our own right, we don\u2019t have to make dinner, clean house, take care of the kids AND work.
